Life Cycles

As Anais Nin once wrote, “you cannot save people, you can only love them.”

I read this quote for the first time early one morning, and it has not left my mind since.

We all question whether we can change someone or if an outcome could be different. This is a natural cycle in emotional processing. The future is never certain, and the truth is, there is always a difference we can make. We have these thoughts and desires for a much greater purpose than ourselves.

But it is also here we experience free will and the battle of the ego.  Life is full of opportunities to learn, for growth, and it will continue on with or without this understanding. My experience has taught me to make peace with my battles, to accept that we all choose our own fate. We are in control of nothing but ourselves, and we must take care of what we are given. Love, and love deeply. It is all we have to offer the world in return.
